Metal Toxicity in Cooking
We use various types of vessels in our kitchen, made up of variety of metals and their alloys. It is clear that the cooking process dissolve the metal `used in to the cooked food. It is also obvious that we eat not only cooked food but small quantities of metal as well that we use in our daily life.
Copper and Brass vessels: The tinned copper and brass vessels that we use is an alloy of tin and lead. The percentage of lead in the alloy vessels from 55% to 70% clearly, lead is poisonous. Lead pipes cassying water are another source of lead pollution. It is a common observation that the tinned surface wears off in vessels, ensuring a continuous supply of poison along with cooked food. Lead affects the nervous system in human beings leading to poor memory, Concentrative and of cause, nervous debility in the long run. Aluminum vessels and Iron / stainless steel vessels also have adverse effect in our health.
Stainless steel is an alloy of iron with small proportion of some heavy metals like disunion, vanadium or manganese, which definitely poisons our system. The use of non-stick pans with coating of flu so hydrocarbons, also erects holes in the protective Ozone layer in the long run of the atmosphere. What is really ideal is the use of Earth era pots. Though it rounds uncivilized, cooking can be safely done in Earth era pots and then prepared food can be transferred in to other vessels.
The use of glass vessels too would be a welcome change as they are pollution free
Treatment and Antidotes
For any kind of toxicity, there are certain counter measures, When will surely detoxify the system get a small white pump lain and make a square hole in the middle. Fill up this hole with 35gms of jiggery and keep it exposed to dew to secure it.
After one day and one night, take the jiggery mixture soaked in the white pumpkin and administer to the patient early morning for three days at the time of sunrise. On the third day, the Metal will be executed in the shape of a stitched bag. Feed the patient with milk porridge, prepared from cotton seed milk and san rice.
If the symptoms still persists, take the bark of Blue Indigo plant root, grind it make it up into a quantity of a small ball to the size of lime fruit and mix it in souse rice water. Add a little jiggery and administer to the patient.
